Multidrug resistance-associated protein

Multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2) also called canalicular multispecific organic anion transporter 1 (cMOAT) or ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 2 (ABCC2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ABCC2 gene. Web4 apr. 2006 · There are now nine members of the multidrug resistance-associated protein family and eight of these (MRP1–8) are known to be organic anion transporters. Between them, the MRPs can transport a large range of organic anions, including anionic drugs and drugs conjugated to glutathione (GSH), sulfate, or glucuronate.
